Why the Curve configuration exists and how to use it.

The kitchen island has become the center of the home. It is where families gather, where meals are prepared, where work happens. It deserves lighting that recognizes its importance.

Dune Curve was designed specifically for this application. The arc of elements traces the geometry of a typical island, creating a canopy of light that defines the space below.

We offer three sizes. Dune 6 Curve for compact islands up to 2 meters. Dune 8 Curve for standard 2.4-meter islands. Dune 10 Curve for larger entertaining spaces.

The key is suspension height. Lower—80-90cm above the counter—creates intimacy and task focus. Higher—100cm or more—provides broader ambient light. We recommend lower for cooking tasks, slightly higher if the island doubles as a dining surface.

The Curve configuration directs light downward through the convex arrangement of elements. This creates focused illumination on the work surface without glare.

For longer islands, consider two Dune 6 Curves spaced apart, or a Dune 8 Curve paired with additional accent lighting. We can advise on specific configurations.
