Requesting lighting samples and documentation is standard practice. Interior architects working on projects that include MOSS Objects typically need two things before specification can be confirmed: documentation for the technical file and physical samples for finish approval. Both are available from the studio on request.

What Lighting Samples and Documentation Are Available

MOSS Objects provides the following for all collections and configurations: product specification sheets covering material construction, finish options, electrical ratings, and installation dimensions; CAD drawings in DXF format for all current models and standard configurations; IES photometric files for lighting simulation and compliance documentation; and dimensional drawings for large or custom configurations on request. All documents are supplied in digital format. For projects in the US market, electrical specifications cover E26 socket and 110V operation.

Requesting a Finish Sample — Emily

Emily is available in six standard lacquered finishes: Anthracite semi-matte, White semi-matte, Black high gloss, Gold tone, Copper tone, and Dark bronze tone. Physical finish samples are available for all six options. Samples can be requested by contacting the studio directly and specifying which finishes are needed. Shipping is arranged by MOSS Objects. For projects where finish selection involves coordination with other metalwork, tile, or architectural surface finishes on site, samples are most usefully reviewed under the actual lighting conditions at the installation location.

Requesting a Sample — Kosmos and Dune

Kosmos samples — a section of the polished stainless frame with opal glass sphere — are available for projects specifying this collection. The finish options for Kosmos are Stainless Steel Polished, Gold Tone, Copper Tone, and Dark Bronze Tone on the stainless base. Dune samples, showing the aluminium module in the relevant finish — Silver Anodised, Silver Polished, Gold Tone, Copper Tone, or Dark Bronze Tone — can also be arranged. Sample availability should be confirmed with the studio at the point of request.

Custom Finishes and Bespoke Specifications

Custom finishes outside the standard range are available on request for all collections. This typically requires a minimum order quantity and a longer lead time than standard finish options. For projects where an existing finish option does not meet the specification requirements — a specific RAL match, or coordination with a bespoke architectural finish — the studio can advise on feasibility and process. Custom specifications are quoted individually.

Using Documentation in Specification Packages

The documents supplied by MOSS Objects are formatted for inclusion in specification packages. DXF files are directly compatible with standard CAD environments. Specification sheets include the product information required for project tender documentation and contractor briefing. For repeat projects or ongoing relationships, documentation for previously specified configurations can be re-supplied on request without a new project enquiry.

Interior architects needing documentation, samples, or specification support for a current project can contact MOSS Objects directly.
