A look inside the making of our modular Dune collection—from raw metal to finished fixture.

The Dune collection begins as sheet metal. Copper or aluminum, depending on the finish. Each shade starts as a flat form that is carefully shaped into its final undulating geometry.

The forming process is proprietary. It creates the subtle irregularities that make each shade unique while maintaining consistency across the collection. No two Dune shades are identical, yet they all share the same DNA.

After forming, each shade is welded, cleaned, and prepared for finishing. The Copper and Dark Bronze surfaces are applied by hand, then lacquered to seal and protect the metal. This is not a spray-on coating—it is a multi-step process developed with specialist workshops in Germany.

The modular joint system is where Dune becomes flexible. Each element connects via a standardized mechanism that allows reconfiguration. A Dune 6 Curve can become a Dune 8 Curve with additional elements. The system grows with your needs.

Final assembly happens in our Berlin studio. Every fixture is tested, inspected, and packed with care. Then it begins its journey to your project—whether that is a loft in Manhattan, a villa in Portugal, or a hotel in Tokyo.
