Finishes: Copper and Dark Bronze

Why we offer only two finishes—and why they are lacquered.

MOSS fixtures are available in two finishes: Copper and Dark Bronze. We do not offer more because these two cover the full range of architectural contexts we encounter.

Copper brings warmth. It complements natural materials—wood, stone, linen—and adds presence to neutral spaces. It catches light beautifully, creating subtle variation across curved surfaces.

Dark Bronze provides subtlety. It recedes when needed, allowing form to speak louder than finish. It pairs exceptionally with dark woods, concrete, and monochromatic interiors.

Both finishes are lacquered. This is crucial. Raw copper and bronze develop patina—green oxidation that changes appearance over time. While some appreciate this, it is unpredictable and inconsistent.

Our lacquered finishes maintain their appearance for decades. The surface is sealed at the molecular level. No patina. No degradation. Just the finish you specified, unchanged.
