The material decision that defines every MOSS Objects piece—and why we offer exactly two finishes.

When I started MOSS Objects, the choice of finishes was everything. We needed surfaces that would look refined in high-end interiors, complement a wide range of materials, and feel unmistakably crafted.
Our Copper finish brings immediate warmth to a space. It is a lacquered metallic finish developed in collaboration with specialist workshops in Germany—refined, consistent, and designed to maintain its character over time.
The warmth of Copper works particularly well with natural materials: wood, stone, linen. For interiors with Versailles parquet or dark walnut, Copper is often the instinctive choice.
Dark Bronze is quieter. It recedes into the architecture, letting the form speak. Our Charlotte collection in Dark Bronze has become a favorite among architects who want sculptural presence without visual noise.
Both finishes are applied by hand in our Berlin workshop. The process is deliberately controlled—each shade carries the subtle variations of hand-finishing while maintaining consistency. When we designed Emily, we tested over 20 samples before settling on these two. They work across the widest range of interior contexts.
